About This Program

The Capitol Child Development Center (CCDC) offers full-year full-day early care and education for children 8 weeks through 5 years of age from diverse communities in the Greater Hartford area. We were founded in 1987 as a model employer-sponsored childcare program by the Connecticut General Assembly. In the decades since, we have fostered the learning, development, and community of hundreds of children and families.

We are committed to providing a diverse learning environment that exceeds the highest state and national accreditation standards, recognizes individual needs of children, and provides support to all families in partnership with varied community resources. We do all of this while nurturing our professional staff.
